Introduction to MPEG-I Scene Description

The MPEG-I Scene Description standard (ISO/IEC 23090-14) represents a significant advancement in immersive media technologies, providing standardized methods to create, deliver, and manage rich, dynamic, and interactive multimedia scenes. This revolutionary standard enables immersive media experiences by efficiently combining video, audio, 3D models, and interactive elements.

MPEG-I Scene Description extends existing formats with specific features for immersive media, ensuring compatibility with MPEG codecs, containers, and delivery mechanisms.
